Tesla under investigation by NHTSA for failures on the “Big Screen”

Tesla has been the pinnacle for other car companies to achieve regarding technology in their vehicles. I will laugh going into a dealership, and listen to a salesman try and sell a brand new car that has all new lane-keeping assist, I will explain that my 2014 Tesla has had that for 6 years. However, this new technology can lead to unforeseen problems, Tesla is facing an issue with the MCU or the media control unit, that controls a ton of functions, will just stop working due to 1 failed computer chip. This flash memory device is constantly "written on" from data from the car, and it was not designed for infinite writes, and it will eventually fail. These screens also see the same problem as the instrument cluster and the liquid will leak out of the MCU screen, I will be curious to see how this pans out, we currently have a large order for these screens, and my current car will be affected.
