ReelDealEV.com is looking for a vendor to repair LCD screens

We found them February 2023!

The Tesla Model S and X have had the “same” Media Control Unit (MCU) screen since 2012, with some small changes. Originally from 2012-2016(ish), they had problems with the screens bubbling (losing the fluid between the digitizer and LCD screen). Then they made a new screen which had problems with a yellowing border on the screen. A lot of these cars have run out of warranty and dealerships and DIY’ers are looking to replace those screens, and we were there to fulfill that need with brand new screens that could easily be swapped. However, we have run out of that supply and can no longer procure them. So we would like to start rebuilding them, and we are looking for someone to do that.

The scope of work is:

Remove old digitizer (image name: Digitizer removed)

Remove old glue from LCD and digitizer (image name: Tesla MCU bubble vs new)

Reapply new glue (image name: Tesla MCU new)

Reinstall digitizer

Test

Dealing with a local Tampa vendor would be ideal. If the sample tests good, and quality assurance is satisfactory then the initial quantity would be 20 screens.
